Problems logging on

When you register with this forum, you'll be emailed with a password to go with your username. To log on, do the following:

  1. Go to the forum front page and select 'Login' from the menu
  2. When prompted, enter your username (or email address) and password

If you are having problems loggin in, here are some things to check:

Already logged in?

If you see a message such as "An Error Has Occurred" or "Alert Spoofing", then your browser may think that you are already logged in.

You'll be able to confirm that you're logged in by looking at the status message in the top-right of the forum. If you're in, it will say "Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening [username]. You have x messages"

Web browsers can be set to "remember" login details and connection status, which can result in you loggin on with the wrong details, or logging on twice. This can happen if you've changed your password and the browser is remembering the old login details or login status. Press "Logout" on the menu (if availlable), refresh the webpage (by pressing F5), or shut down the web browser, re-open it and try again.

Details not recognised?

If you see that your username or password aren't recognised, this could be something to do with how you're entering your username or password. These are case-sensitive, so make sure you are using capital letters if needed.
